Welcome to Nuyts arrow.gif (895 bytes) Nuyts Engineering is an industry-leading developer and deployer of flexible and robust Automated Guided Vehicles to organisations around the world.
arrow.gif (895 bytes) The ability to employ simple but powerful solutions and an absolute commitment to customer satisfaction has earned the organisation a reputation of quality and reliability.
arrow.gif (895 bytes) Nuyts produce all systems in configurations tailor-made for the individual customer. There are no standard models; a basic version is optimised for the customer by adapting it to meet the requirements in every individual case.
arrow.gif (895 bytes) In 1997, Nuyts Engineering achieved phase one of the organisation's objectives, by becoming the largest supplier of AGV's in Europe within the <500 kg market.
Company Profile
The Company arrow.gif (895 bytes) Nuyts commitment to customer satisfaction and  the focussed service provided has enabled   provision of customised solutions for over 10 years. Nuyts Engineering has earned a reputation for quality and reliability throughout the world.
The Systems arrow.gif (895 bytes) The demand for Nuyts AGV's  has been largely due to the unique passive-inductance guidance system featured in the majority of Nuyts Transport and Assembly systems.
arrow.gif (895 bytes) Passive-inductance combines the robustness of embedded wire guidance systems with the flexibility of optically guided AGV's. Nuyts systems can therefore be deployed in the most demanding of environments, but can be relocated quickly, simply and at minimal cost.  Nuyts however, have a simple solution for every assignment.
The Philosophy arrow.gif (895 bytes) It is part of the Nuyts corporate philosophy that customer service starts with joint planning to ensure optimisation of operation procedures and practical solutions are discussed on site during project conception.
arrow.gif (895 bytes) Nuyts have been generating satisfied customers with the approach that simple solutions = low costs and reliable operation and believe that satisfied customers are the best sales people. This is demonstrated in the number of customers that recommend Nuyts systems to others.

Assembly Systems

arrow.gif (895 bytes) In today's environment,  rarely can products be mass manufactured without the need for product customisations or mixed variations in the assembly process. Layouts for these products using fixed conveyors or work benches leads to back-tracking of work, difficult production control and waste's throughout the system.
arrow.gif (895 bytes) The Intelligent Assembly System (IAS) has been developed to meet the demand from organisations wishing to manufacture on flexible production and assembly lines, but with minimum effort and at an affordable cost.
arrow.gif (895 bytes) IAS vehicles are either passive-inductance following metal tape, or optically guided using painted lines. The AGV typically moves from one workstation to another and production / assembly operations undertaken upon its build platform. The kit of parts needed required during assembly can also be carried by the IAS.
arrow.gif (895 bytes) Workstations are identified to the AGV through metal strips located along side the guidance tape, and therefore can be located/relocated in seconds.  The assembly operator activates the AGV upon finishing their operation.
arrow.gif (895 bytes) With Nuyts IAS in place,  increased productivity through minimal work-in-progress, maximum utilisation of space, extremely flexible production lines, better, cleaner working environment and much reduced materials handling are just some of the advantages that have been demonstrated in production and assembly plants around the world. Give Nuyts a call to arrange a site visit to any of them.

Transport Systems

arrow.gif (895 bytes) Nuyts Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) provide the ultimate in  system flexibility and production control. Based upon the motormouse® AGV,the ITS can be manually operated for simple transport assignments through to fully automatic systems with a variety of load-handling devices and operated via a central computer.
arrow.gif (895 bytes) The ITS can be controlled in a number of different ways.

arrowred.jpg (757 bytes)

By entering the destination manually via the keyboard on the control panel
arrowred.jpg (757 bytes) By coding the product that is being transported
arrowred.jpg (757 bytes) By specifying fixed routes and transport operations that are continually repeated.
arrowred.jpg (757 bytes) By communications between the vehicle controller and a central computer or a local terminal. A PLC or a personal computer is used for this purpose.
arrow.gif (895 bytes) If a customer opts for a control system that is based on a central computer, for example when there is an extensive track network, the central computer is responsible vehicle management and control of rights-of-way and priorities. Data is transmitted either by infrared or by radio equipment. Track changes are simple for the customer to make themselves on the computer screen due to the modular structure of the Nuyts software.
arrow.gif (895 bytes) In addition, Nuyts Solutions provides real time integration with the existing production control system and close co-ordination with the production scheduling and ordering plans. Dispatching of vehicles to appropriate workstations is again controlled by a central computer.
arrow.gif (895 bytes) The vehicles on-board controller makes sure that the motormouse® reaches the correct destination. It identifies transfer stations, arranges for product to be loaded/unloaded, recognises intersections and protects personnel from accidents by means of an infrared anti-collision system.
Virtual Showroom
arrow.gif (895 bytes) Nuyts produces all ITS and IAS AGV's in configurations tailor-made for the individual customer. There are no standard models; a basic version is optimised for the customer by adapting it to meet the requirements in every individual case.
arrow.gif (895 bytes) ITS and IAS can be operated without any difficulty by inexperienced staff. No special training is required. The control panel functions are minimised so that it is a compact and user friendly unit.
arrow.gif (895 bytes) Nuyts Systems can handle loads in many different ways. Loading and unloading can be carried out manually, transverse conveyors can   maneuver standard loads, or elevating units can deliver loads at different heights.
arrow.gif (895 bytes) Nuyts Systems can use any one of three power supply systems. Either a set of batteries are used which are designed for fast replacement or the AGV makes occasional stops to recharge its batteries automatically at special stations. The AGV can also carry an onboard, retractable power cable which can be plugged into the mains supply without having to remove the batteries from the AGV.
Considered Leasing AGV's ??
arrow.gif (895 bytes) Of all the ways to acquire equipment, leasing is the method most frequently used. Leasing provides a   flexible method of payment for your AGV's that can be tailored directly to your company cash flow patterns or streams of income.
arrow.gif (895 bytes) Leasing equipment such as AGV's has many significant advantages to your company,  including :
arrowred.jpg (757 bytes) Conserves capital and avoids large capital outlays.
arrowred.jpg (757 bytes) Preserves credit lines through avoidance of large bank loans .
arrowred.jpg (757 bytes) Avoids technological obsolesce.
arrowred.jpg (757 bytes) Lets the system pay its own way.
arrowred.jpg (757 bytes) Improves your balance sheets since the AGV is not an asset.
arrowred.jpg (757 bytes) Minimal administration time, costs and company 'red-tape'.

Technical Support

arrow.gif (895 bytes) The straightforward technology on which Nuyts systems are based makes them simple to service and maintain. It is possible for the customers own service engineers to carry out minor repairs themselves, but should problems arise, you will always find Nuyts a competent partner to provide your company with assistance in support and development of existing systems.
arrow.gif (895 bytes) As part of Nuyts continuous improvement policy and commitment to total customer satisfaction, the Nuyts website provides an opportunity for communication with Nuyts Engineers and information sharing with other Nuyts customers.
arrow.gif (895 bytes) Nuyts online Technical Support provides a secure, readily accessible knowledge base in which to collate news, support requests, questions etc. Since Nuyts installations are almost always in mission critical systems, Technical support guarantees replies to all support requests within X hours, including weekends and holidays.
arrow.gif (895 bytes) In addition, Nuyts Online Technical support provides each customer with an opportunity to download the latest or updated AGV control software for their particular system.
